Countries With The Best Golf Courses

Most people believe that the United States is the best country for playing golf. The US, after all, has some of the best-designed golf courses in the world. However, if you are not in the US, it does not mean that you will miss out on enjoying a quality session of playing golf.

In the last several years, golf has become a popular sport across continents. This is reflected in the fact that a large number of golf courses have come up in most parts of the world. Serengeti Golf courses in Africa, for instance, are at par with some of the best golf courses in the US. Even if you are based in a sleepy town, there is a good possibility of you finding a golf course there.

Here are some of the countries with the best golf courses:

United Arab Emirates

Golf was introduced in this part of the world a little late but once people based in this region discovered this sport, they warmed up to it immediately. In the year 1988, the first all-grass championship course was launched by Majlis in the Middle East. Today, the United Arab Emirates has several premium golf courses and hosts several prominent golfing tournaments including the Dubai Desert Classic of the European Tour.

Scotland

If you are in Scotland, the one thing you will never have to worry about is finding a golf course. Golfing enthusiasts often travel to Scotland just to have a look at all the interestingly designed golf courses in the country. The pleasant weather, which remains prevalent in the country for most of the year, makes it an ideal destination to engage in a game of golf. Some of the most popular golf clubs in Scotland are Machrihanish Golf Club, Trump International Golf Links, and Carnoustie Golf Links.

South Africa

The one country where several golf courses have come up in the last couple of years is South Africa. The country has also served as the base for major golfing tournaments in the recent past. People living in different regions of the country are showing a keen interest in the sport. While Stellenbosch golf courses are extremely popular, several hotels in South Africa have in-house golf courses that can be used by both their guests and people who come from the outside.
